how to grip a racquet as they do watching a long-time student

Greg
Aten, USPTA Certified Professional: Director of Tennis
Attended
and played varsity tennis for the University of Akron where he
captained the team his senior year and was All Conference All
American. Greg has over twenty years of teaching experience to
his record. He has received several awards for his accomplishments
including USPTA Ohio Pro of the year in 1991 and 1993 and USPTA
Midwest Pro of the year 1995 and 1997. He has served as President
of the Midwest USPTA and President of the Northeast Ohio Tennis
Association. The USTA also recognized Greg in 1998 for his contributions
to the game by awarding him the USTA/USPTA Community Service Award.

Lovelle Crenshaw, USPTA Certified Professional
Head Tennis Professional Lovelle is a native of Indianapolis,
Indiana. He played varsity tennis at I.U.P.U.I in Indianapolis
from 1981 through 1984. Prior to joining CVAC Lovelle was Head
Pro at Sycamore Hills Country Club and coached tennis at Wildwood
Racquet Club. From 1995 to 1999 he was the Northern Indiana Junior
Davis Cup Coach. Lovelle is a head verifier for Northeast Ohio
USA Adult Tennis League and Vice President of USPTA for Northern
Ohio. Lovelle brings extensive knowledge and much enthusiasm to
his lessons and programs.
Walter Oden, USAPTA Certified Professional
Walt brings many years of experience both on the court and off to CVAC. His resume includes 7 years Boys Varsity Coach Hudson HS with 75 wins and 7 conference titles, Administrator and Head Coach USTA's High Performance Coaching program and he is a P-1 USTA Pro. In 2000 and 2003 Walt received the USTPA Ohio Professional of the Year award. Walt's presentation on right brain - left brain dominance in the game of tennis earned him an invitation to the National USPTA World Conference. Juniors are Walt's passion and an area in which he excels. His enthusiasm, attention to detail and perseverance are all brought to bear in his work at CVAC.
Bob
Rowe, USPTA Certified Professional
Bob has been playing tennis since the age of six. He is a graduate
of West Geauga High School where he played first singles for four
years and was named to The Plain Dealer first team his senior
year. He has a degree in Art from the University of Akron. With
over twenty years of experience on the courts - he is ideally
suited to teach and coach in our junior programs and leagues.
He joined CVAC in October 1999 and is USPTA Certified Professional.
"It's great being on the CVAC staff," Bob says. "I thoroughly
enjoy teaching all levels from the Tiny Tots to the adults."
Dale
Israelson, USPTA Certified Professional
Junior Activities Coordinator, Dale comes to us from Kalamazoo,
Michigan where he was the Head Tennis Professional at the Kalamazoo
YMCA for 11 years. Prior to that, he coached high school tennis
for 5 years. He is a graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School
where he played varsity tennis all 4 years, and continued his
playing at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Dale has received
a USPTA Distinguished Service Award and WMTA Organization of the
Year Award to his many credits. He has also served as a USTA Head
Scout for the Junior Area Training centers in Michigan and NTRP
Verifier both in Michigan and Ohio. Dale is also Head Professional
at Chagrin Valley Country Club during the summer. Dale is a Prince
Elite Team member.
